GREAT 3 CDs of live recordings of Fleetwood Mac in Boston, 1970. Peter Green was one of the greatest blues/rock guitarists of that era - fun to hear him (and rest of the band) again.
Eric Clapton began as a blues purist, also. So the same evolution was undergone, as was, for the Mac band. And, in about the same time period, too. Huh.
Fleetwood Mac in 1970 was a hot band! A rock/blues band that could play a great live concert and thankfully, this Boston concert was recorded flawlessly. Many extended guitar solos throughout the concert make even more special. I wish more people knew the talents of Peter Green both as a guitarist and vocalist. When he left Fleetwood Mac, the band kept the same name but added all the members of the more popular and commercial Fleetwood Mac. I like both forms of the band, but my favorite is the original lineup!
Fans of the original Fleetwood Mac and the great guitarist, Peter Green should not overlook this remastered gem from three live shows in Boston 1970 (admission $2.50).
The audio is much better than other live Original Mac recordings.
The second version of "Rattlesnake Shake" presented here is more than worth the price of admission and I much prefer this live version of "Oh Well" , rather than the studio recording
