Likeable and entertaining.

Funny, interesting, farcical, over-the-top, enjoyable, with more than a few sight-gags. Get ready to do a lot of reading because whenever the brother/sister are talking to each other, they do it in Spanish with English subtitles (20% of the movie).

It's a heart warming fish out of water story loaded with clever gags and laughs. The film is blessed with sumptuous girls like Selma and Raquel, but Eugenio Derbez steals the show. Los Angeles continues to successfully play itself. Show me your sexy!

Very funny! A Classic! Can watch it over and over!

Haha, Salam Hayek, Rob Lowe and Eugenio Derbez. Cringe worthy comedy good for a laugh!

I laughed all the way through this movie. This is a so-stupid-it's-funny movie. I found it VERY VERY FUNNY right from the start. I love the Spanglish. The casting is excellent. Unexpected goofy yet believable acting from Rob Lowe that delighted my funny bone. His character is such a ham. Selma Hayak has very good way of delivering comedy. Oh and the last scenes with Racquel Welch had me giggling and laughing! The little boy who played the nephew was spot on with all his seasoned co-stars. I like this so much I'll look to own it.

Silly, some interesting parts. I am a fan of Salma Hayek. Some interesting roles played by the older rich women. Glad to see Linda Lavin of Mel's Diner and Flo TV sitcom had a part.

Very funny and entertaining. Love the script and acting. Many all-star cameos...Laughed out loud several times!
Used closed caption as the dialogue mixes and interplays quickly between Spanish and English.

Silly and funny - Salma Hayek can sing!

Often funny and sweet but needed better editing to cut out the many obvious gags (I lost count of how many times people were slapped or hit it the head) and other jokes that ran too long.

Only 4 short quotes in IMDb, here's more:
Papa always said that you get what you work for, not what you wish for.
-And look what happened to him!
After I gave her my best years, after I gave her my youth, after I gave her the best of me! Of course, now that my boobs have sagged, she finds someone younger than me.
Did you dye your hair?
- Yep! All of it. I gave myself a little makeover.
Maybe next time they can make over your brain.
I had a chance to be a part of a family, and I ruined it.
-I don't think you ruined it, because it's never too late to make it right. "Catta" do what you "catta" do.
"You can't live your life afraid that something bad will happen, because then you really never lived. "
-Where did you hear that?
Uncle Maximo.

You're not attracted to me?
- Not at all. No, I'm attracted to, like, really good looking guys. Guys with, like, great faces and great bodies, who are muscular and handsome, and younger, much younger than you, and tall- a lot taller. But that's just me.
But then... why did you give me the job?
-I think I'm just drawn to helping less fortunate, damaged, sad, sad, sad, sad creatures.
We're family!
-No. You're not family. You're nothing more than a lazy 46 year old freeloader, who doesn't think of anyone but himself. ... You stole his hopes. You stole his dreams. But it ends now. You will never use me or Hugo again, understood?
I'm 39.
You said I'm 46, but I'm 39.
-No, you're not.
Of course I am.
- Hell no!
Of course I am.
- But I'm 42!
So what?
- You're my older brother!
You know, the McLarens are like snowflakes, in that no two are ever the same.
