we all know the story of John Rambo and his one man army rage against a small town sherriff, and after watching it again for the first time in a long time, I never get tired of rooting for the underdog in his fight against the man. Late in the movie I realized this was not a huge speaking role for Stallone but he let the violence do the talking. filmed in BC the outdoors scenes were awesome with beautiful wilderness abounding. it was my first time viewing the alternate ending, not knowing there was one, and I preferred the original. this movie still holds up all these years later, its just too bad the franchise got carried away to the point of being absurd.

This movie kind of set the template for action movies in the 80's ( whether that's a good or bad thing is up to you to decide )- and as far as action movies it's ok ( I think this film is much better than any of the sequels it spawned )- plus it was filmed in B.C.

This movie is excellent and I highly recommend watching it.There is cussing in it(but I mean what action/war movie doesn't?)so watch it before the younger ones watch it.

Well this is where it all begins, don't mess with a Vet, and treat them as outsiders. He was just looking for a place to eat....."Sheriff got what was coming to him..."

You're afraid to admit that you're dealing with an expert. An expert in guerilla warfare, with tanks, guns, knives, with his bare hands. Trained to ignore weather,
to ignore pain. Trained to eat that which would make a billy goat puke. To kill. Period.
