Where Fandango is we don't know but we do know lots of fun, adventurous and slightly silly people live there! The man from the Land of Fangango is going to take children bouncing, dancing, hopping, cake eating and much much more.

Rhyme, onomatopoeia, bison and custard creams, kangaroos all come along with the reader and this man. Get ready for a giddy read!

Have you met him yet? He's The Man From the Land of Fandango! And what a wonderfulman he is. He's full of color and music and silliness! Award winning author Margaret Mahy has given us yet another child pleasing book that will have your listeners dancing around the room. When Mahy and artist Polly Dunbar team up the result is a treat for the eyes and the ears. Here's a taste:
"...he bingles and bangles and bounces - He's a bird! He's a bell! He's a ball! The man from the land of Fandango - Is coming to pay you a call." As the words bounce around in sweeping arcs the pictures bound around the page too. Talk about a fun story to read aloud to a group of wiggly preschoolers. They'll love it!
With the arrival of The Man two children are swept up into a story that includes dancing bears and bison, baboons on bassoons, treats, twirls and dreams. But remember, he "only appears every five hundred years - so you'd better be home when he calls!" Or you can just check out this book and start dancing right now.
