Originally broadcast as an episode of a television program :"Nature" on the PBS Network, this 53-minute documentary delves into the mystery of the eel.
Some people love to eat eels, but humans know little about the life of this creature.
Nobody has ever seen this creature spawn.
Some eels travel on land to go back to the ocean.
How could they possibly do that?
It is an amazing and intriguing documentary.

At times haunting & melancholy, at others eelectrifying, this short film documents specimens of this curious eelongated fish ranging from the miniscule to the eelephantine. Despite comprehensive study, much of the life cycle of these fascinating creatures has so far eeluded science, & the artist-narrator follows them around the world, from Japan where they’re so prized as food that wild freshwater stocks have been all but eeliminated, to New Zealand’s Maori country where they’ve been eelevated to the status of semi-divine river guardians. In fact their vitamin content has shown them to preserve the skin’s health & eelasticity, & where it would seem improbable to eelicit an emotional response from many of their piscine cousins, these animals’ countenances give easily to impressions of annoyance or eelan. Though nothing eelaborate, the film is a quiet, eelegant study of a quietly beautiful natural wonder. Eeleven out of ten stars! CR

This was an interesting Episode of "Nature". I wondered why they Didn't put a tracking Device on the Eels to find where they Spawn in the Ocean. I have ate a Japanese Sushi dish with Eel in it , It was called "Unagi Chirashi". Chirashi means mixed-up (because that what you do with it as you eat it.). The Eel reminded Me of Chicken.

I loved this documentary. I knew almost nothing about eels before I saw this film, and now this film has made me want to learn much, much more about eels.
