From "New York Times" bestselling author Macomber comes an emotionally daring story of three women who feel called to join an order of nuns. One by one, they make the life-altering decision to leave, each for different reasons. Eventually, each woman must reinvent herself in the "outside" world--a world of ordinary life, and of love.

Lovely story of 4 main characters: 3 women; entering the convent, their work in the convent and finally leaving the convent.
The 4th character is the convent itself. The novel provides an insight into the workings of the 1960's convent - which I was quite curious. Macomber's convent undergoes the liberalization of the 1960's and these developments are as much a part of the story as the growth of the people.

An enlightening and lovely read!
