I really liked this book because it wasn't just about how the author was treated (Scott), it also went into the details and background of Liberace's life. Kind of like a Biography with the sordid details thrown in regarding Scott's part in Lee's life. Granted, I don't know how much of what he says it true, but it sure does sound believable. I saw the movie too, and the book brings out more details as you would expect. Well worth reading if you like this style of writing (true-life celebrity stories).

Wow you get picked up by a self-absorbed delusional Queen and you didn't stop to think that you should have squirreled away some cash for a rainy day especially when it turned our to be a Monsoon!? Geez Thorson I get that you were young but when you saw the other dude get kicked to the curb the writing was obviously on the wall. And the plastic surgery? .....stupid yet priceless.

Better than the movie with the additional details that a book can relate, Scott is not altogether a likeable person but he was somewhat shafted by the "persona" of Liberace and emotionally betrayed by Lee the lover and protector. His life after Lee has gone downhill and all he has left are his memories and a few souvenirs of the high life that he lived for a few short years.
