What a great, inspirational family film! God always reads our letters (hears our prayers) and listens and acts accordingly to His divine will. He heals us all on the inside, our real selves, in order to make us a better example of what we can truly be in this world. Your emotions will come alive throughout this movie. A+

This is a true story. It is touching, (it brought tears to my eyes) and a great movie about faith. Read the book for more background.

A good movie, especially if you know someone struggling with cancer. It will help you recognize what they are going through, while giving hope at the same time.

i had a near death experience recently. After recovery, when i was finally allowed outside the house I borrowed this movie. it really helped me to realize that, as bad off as I was, it could've been alot worse.

Bring along a box of tissues. You'll need them.

A nice movie about a young boy who writes his thoughts/prayers down and then mails them to God. Naturally, his postman is the one who reads them, which in turn changes his life.

The sad part is, the young boy has cancer. Nuff said.

Because of its tragic subject-matter (a terminally ill child), this is not a film you'd want to watch every day. And I found its saccharine females and Born-Again-Christian overtones obnoxious (even though neither was very frequent or intrusive.) But the film's good definitely outweighs the bad, and overall it provides a hopeful, touching dramatization of dealing with death, grieving, pain & suffering, guilt, and starting over from a perspective of faith. Especially recommended for someone who is spiritually (especially deistically) inclined or is grappling with these sorts of painful issues.

Good - Letters To God (2010) 110 min. Though filmed like an after school special, Letters to God provides the heartfelt messaging in living in the light of God. A young boy provides the inspiration to everyone around him on how to deal with suffering by “letting go and letting God”. A must see for anyone who’s currently being challenged with emotional and medical concerns. Also recommended is the soundtrack available at OPL.
