This portrait of Washington super lobbyist Jack Abramoff, from his early years as a gung-ho member of the GOP political machine to his final reckoning as a disgraced, imprisoned pariah, confirms the adage that truth is indeed stranger than fiction. A tale of international intrigue with Indian casinos, Russian spies, Chinese sweatshops, and a mob-style killing in Miami, this is the story of the way money corrupts our political process.

A solid 7.5 out of 10 What an eye opener!
All centres of government may have rot like this which is why our world is so messed up! This documentary demonstrates how deals are made between gov't insiders to spread the money around, instead of it going into beneficial programs!
pay-offs and kickbacks! unbelievable. One person said it is the Republicans. They probably all do it. This is probably the 'swamp' that President Trump says he is trying to drain, since he takes no salary at all. These 'lobbyists' ( read: crooks) have been around since the early days of government. The reason nothing is done is because they are almost all at the trough.

To take a trip back to see Carl R. & Newt G. so young and so tied into the political baggage that we face still today was very eye opening. Great documentary.

OMG! I mean I knew Republicans were hypocritical, but this is just ridiculous. A movie every American should see!

This is a remarkable film better than the fictional Casino Jack starring Kevin Spacey. Try watching both films back to back to see the difference.

And the Seattle connection? (Was a lobbyist in D.C. representing the local Gates law firm. Now why does that name sound so familiar?)

Is this the movie with Kevin Spacey?

Mind blowing! And then after all the intricate scheming, they openly send emails about their shenanagans and wonder why they got caught! Of course, except for Nay, the rest of the Congressional Bride-Takers got off scott free. Which is why this will continue ad naueum.

Interesting documentary about how greed and money messed up the democracy process.
