Like the other's in the series, it is a great book. I actually read this book, then ring, and then loop. But Suzuki does a great job at writing his books as individual stories as well. So if you haven't read Ring yet, I wouldn't worry too much. All the twist and turns are great, and it just cant put it down. It also gets a little nasty in a part of it, but if you read other thrillers you should be just fine. The only thing I have to say about this book is that it seemed a little awkward at times. And if you aren't very open about culture or ideas, it might not be your cup of tea.
