Most people want to avoid thinking about death, but Caitlin Doughty—a twenty-something with a degree in medieval history and a flair for the macabre—took a job at a crematory, turning morbid curiosity into her life’s work. Thrown into a profession of gallows humor and vivid characters (both living and very dead), Caitlin learned to navigate the secretive culture of those who care for the deceased.

When you think of the words, "Death" or "Cremation" or "Mortician", a shiver might creep up your spine. Worry not friends, Caitlin Doughty is here to add insight and humor into the fact that, we're all going to die and that's just fine. Live Death Positively.

The book itself was good, lots of interesting information although a bit morbid at times. But read the book, don't listen to the audio book. The author didn't do us any favors by reading it herself, a professional would have done a much better job.

This book was strangely interesting. At times I thought it may have bordered on being a little disrespectful, but also gave good information regarding cremation and the funeral industry.
