Yep. You can be sure - When it came to heavy metal bands back in the early-1970s - There were only 3 that really mattered.

And those 3 were, of course - Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, and, yes, Deep Purple.

Deep Purple originated from Hertford, England. Headlined by guitarist, Ritchie Blackmore and keyboardist, Jon Lord - Deep Purple were pioneers in the heavy metal genre. To date - Their records have sold over 100 million copies, worldwide.

This "Greatest Hits" CD contains 15 tracks in all which were recorded by the band in the years from 1968-1984.

Two of my favourites in this compilation are - "Hush" and "Stormbringer".
