The Day the Music DiedLarge Print - 1999
Attorney Sam McCain is having a bad day. Iowa's freezing, Buddy Holly's plane has crashed, the phone's ringing off the hook and it's not even dawn. Later he finds the body of Susan Whitney in her mansion. Upstairs, her husband confesses to her murder, then shoots himself. McCain's instincts tell him that the confession is a lie. His instincts also tell him that the corpse of a pregnant teenager found in a canoe on a frozen pond is somehow related to the other deaths. Now all he has to do is prove his instincts right - and fast.
