Abstract: The use of corporal punishment continues to be a highly controversial topic of discussion as society has come to a point where a fine line has been drawn between discipline and physical abuse. The purpose of this research is to explore the differences in attitudes towards the use of corporal punishment based on participants' age, race, and gender. Previous research indicates that studying and understanding attitudes towards corporal punishment plays an important role in predicting the individuals who will use physical punishment and identifying the circumstances in which individuals deem this disciplinary method suitable. This valuable research will express just how much individuals' attitudes towards corporal punishment are or are not changing with society's changing views.
