Maude Fealy was born in Memphis, Tenn. on March 4, 1883. She made her first stage appearance at the age of three in “Faust.” She made her first New York appearance as Eunice in “Quo Vadis.” She was a leading lady for William Gillette in “Sherlock Holmes” and later became leading lady for E.S. Willard. She became a star in 1903 in “Hearts Courageous.” She created the role of Mrs. Began in “The Boss.”
