Attempts to set up peace talks have been stalled due to confusion about who is representing the occupying force in Wounded Knee. According to Ted Means, his brother, Russell Means and Dennis Banks, had left the village briefly during the week but stayed in control. He added that any negotiations would require including AIM leaders and traditional tribal chiefs. First photograph shows Ted Means speaking with Senator James Abourezk. The second shows two men at a tribal council roadblock.
