Several documents from the "Book Lovers Army" Summer Reading Program at the Rapid City Public Library in 1942. A note from June Walker, Commander-in-Chief of the Booklovers' Army instructs the recipient to report at headquarters (the Public Library). Three bookmarks have cut-outs out men in uniform. There is also a button stating, "I belong to the public library book club". Additional items include a diploma for membership in "The Vacation Reading Club", and a black and white certificate. Finally, there is a bookmark depicting a Pegasus and nine rules for how to take care of a book.
