The Student Union had a number of activities planned for Wake Forest University's 1993 homecoming. In addition to the homecoming game several sources of entertainment were offered to the student body including a comedian, velcro jumping, human bowling, and sumo wrestling. The homecoming committee this year also hoped to make the voting process for homecoming king and queen into a fundraiser. A representative from the committee said that they wanted to have jars with each nominee's name on it. Students could put up to two dollars in each jar as their vote. The nominees whose jars had the most money would be crowned king and queen. This voting method was not approved as many students felt that people should not have to pay to vote for the homecoming king and queen.
