Portrait of Marsden Campbell.Marsden Campbell (1777-1841) was the grandson of James Campbell, one of the founding fathers of Wilmington, NC. He was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, and owned Clarendon Plantation in Brunswick County, NC. In 1834 he moved his family to Barbreck Plantation in Avoylles Parish, Louisiana. He died there in 1841.
