George Washington remains the wealthiest President to serve the United States. Much of his wealth is due to that inherited by his wife, Martha, from her previous marriage to Daniel Custis. Interestingly, Custis' father insisted that Martha was not wealthy enough or of high enough status to marry his son, so much so that he threatened to disinherit Daniel. This volume contains the wills of George and Martha Washington.
