Book - 1785?
Rate this:
A drawing depicting Mary, Queen of Scots, embarking on her journey from France to Scotland, after the death of her mother and husband, Francis II of France. She wore white to symbolize her mourning on the entire journey, and was said to be so inconsolable that she would spend many hours in her own bunk, barely even appearing for meals. She said then and for the remainder of her life that her time in France was the happiest time of her life.
