"When I was twenty-five years old, it came to my attention that I had never had a girlfriend. At the time, I was actually under the impression that I was in a relationship, so this bit of news came as something of a shock." Why was [Paralympic ski racer and cancer survivor] Josh still single? To find out, he tracked down the girls he had tried to date since middle school and asked them straight up: what went wrong? The results of Josh's semiscientific, wholly hilarious investigation are captured here: from a disastrous Putt-Putt date involving a backward prosthetic foot, to his introduction to CFD (Close Fast Dancing), to a misguided 'grand gesture' at a Miss America pageant, this story is about looking for love--or at least a girlfriend--in all the wrong places.--From publisher description.

Sometimes heart aching... most times hilarious! I listened to this on eAudiobook read by Josh through Overdrive and I couldn't have imagined a better way to experience it. I was laughing out loud and I felt his every emotion as I desperately wanted him to just go for it!!!

This is a romantic comedy just begging to be made. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to everyone...

Josh Sundquist is frank, honest, and funny--both about his love life and his disability. I quite enjoyed reading about his experiences (whether I was able to relate to them or not) and was emotionally gratified by his self-reflection. Though at times awkward, this book is a good reminder that it's always good to be able to laugh at ourselves.

Awkward, hilarious, and all about learning to accept yourself. A great read if you want to commiserate (and eat a lot of ice cream while reading this) when you're single, too!

Really loved this book. It talks about how Josh has never had a real girlfriend before so he decides to figure out why. It ended with having a great meaning be hide it, that he couldn't get a girlfriend because he was letting the fact that he was an amputee get in his way. It has a great message out being yourself and being happy with that. This book was a real page turner for me and I really enjoyed it. I can totally see why it took him so long to find a girlfriend, and it wasn't because of why he thought it was.

I'm an occasional viewer of Josh's YouTube channel and being less than successful in the romantic realm myself, I figured his newest book would be an interesting and relevant read. I was more than right. Josh's tales of his crushes and his attempts at serious dating are hysterical. I giggled my way through the entire book, chortling over his misadventures with girls. It was also interesting to see just what hindsight brings to crushes and attempts at relationships as Josh talks to the girls from his past. But it was Josh's final conclusion towards the end of the book about just why he'd never had a girlfriend that hit me because it's something I needed reminding of. Funny and smart with a dash of insight, I highly recommend this one.

Hilariously romantic.

Full of humour and highly recommended. Josh describes, in excruciating detail, all of the awkwardness of attempting romantic relationships as he re-examines each of his near misses to figure out why he's never had a girlfriend. If you're still wondering whether that person you're crushing on likes you back, read this book and learn from his mistakes!

I saw a video of Grace Helbig with Josh and decided to check it out. Pleasantly surprised :) Got a new perspective on how some guys think ahaha. It was also really frustrating! All I could think of while reading was MAKE A MOVE ALREADY!!

It's ironic how the way the author used to over-think during all his almost relationships is pretty much what guys generally complain ABOUT girls.
