Best horse racing movie ever, better than the very good "Secretariat." The problem with so many moviegoers these days is that they can't stand seeing anything that isn't constant, contrived action. Actual plot, acting and character development bores them.

This is an average direct to TV quality film, but you still end up cheering for the underdog.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. I knew people just like these folks when I lived in that part of the country. Every bit of it was believable to me. I wasn't familiar with the story, so I wasn't sure it was true until the end of the movie.

Excellent true story, horse named MIND THAT BIRD. Calvin Burrell the jockey played himself. Good to see William Devan still getting work. With so many obstacles it's a wonder they made it to KY Derby. Good showing at Belmont and Preakness!!!!!!!

Pretty good movie with some good moments and a very happy ending. Everybody spends so much of their time partying and drinking various kinds of booze - and I mean all the time and in every circumstance - it seemed like a recurring ad for the LCBO or Seagrams, to the point I wasn't sure how they could remain upright and coherent. At some points of course they couldn't, especially some of the ladies who were really dipsy and girly - very politically incorrect. Which was a major point of the movie of course, i.e. how politically correct, snooty and intolerant of New Mexico desert country hicks the establishment is in Kentucky. But the good ol' boys and their ladies had their day and cocked a snoot at the fashionable set!

A nice movie. Lower budget variation on a Seabiscuit/Rocky type of story, with characters only a movie could produce. Take it for what it is and don't expect a lot.

This is the biopic of the 2009 Kentucky Derby Winner, Mine that Bird, best known for the stunning upset at 50 to 1 odds. Fun movie depicting the underdog. The storyline had enough horsepower to keep you entertained and cheering!
