Add a Summary"The Emoji Movie unlocks the never-before-seen secret world inside your smartphone. Hidden within the messaging app is Textopolis, a bustling city where all your favorite emojis live, hoping to be selected by the phone's user. In this world, each emoji has only one facial expression - except for Gene, an exuberant emoji who was born without a filter and is bursting with multiple expressions. Determined to become "normal" like the other emojis, Gene enlists the help of his handy best friend Hi-5 and the notorious code breaker emoji Jailbreak. some people hate it but it is not that bad
Gene is exploding with different expressions. But, in the world of Textopolis, having different emotions is considered a "malfunction". Now, Gene and his friends need to find a way to save him and the rest of the smart phone world from being deleted forever. The Emoji Movie was very enjoyable and pleasant. It is a great family movie that people of all ages can watch. The Emoji Movie has many adventure and action components that may be enjoyed by some viewers. Furthermore, the animation and detail in this movie was absolutely incredible. Generally, The Emoji Movie was good and agreeable movie. Rate: 3.5/5

This movie has mixed reviews, but personally I love this movie. I love how it is based around a phone and society these days. An important lesson I learned is to be happy with yourself and it is okay to be different. Another good thing about this movie is that Gene is not accepted because he is different and it is kind of like our world now a days, that if you are different you might not be accepted for who you really are so you have to change yourself for others. This movie has so many different life lessons that you will love. My favourite would have to be either the just dance part or the part where Gene saves everybody from being erased. I Would recommend this movie to people of all ages because the movie is family friendly. Overall, this movie is amazing and you should definitely watch it! 5/5. @TheBookWorm of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board.
There's a reminder in the movie to be happy being yourself.

Good visuals but otherwise a meh movie.

Well, First emoji was recognized as a new language, and now they make movie out of it. It's time I brush up on this new thing. :)
