If you only read one book about girl's dealing with death, let it be this book. I became so caught up in this remarkable story. The girl is mentioned to be Chinese American, but its not about her race. Instead its about the death of her dad and brother and coping with the grief that follows. By far the best, most realistic and touching about missing people in your life. I was utterly sick of all death books this year that were either boring or irritating, I almost didn't read this one. I am so grateful I did. this one is far superior. It does have another storyline with her trying to raise money with her friend so he can go to England so it's not a depressing book either. The plot isn't overly complicated but just enough intrigue that you don't know the end. I can't praise this book enough, I highly, highly recommend it!
